Since it is not 2012, I am going to assume that the world is not, in fact, ending. This leaves only the latter explanation for the past week's events: British Airways went on strike, the Italian Prime Minister got hit over the head by a Duomo statue, and a partial bomb went off at 3 am this morning at the university I have been attending. (Don't worry, parents. I am still alive. Obviously.)
With Italy's past, I would only come to expect such antics. But my favorite part is that Bocconi failed to even mention that there had been a bomb there. No note, no email, no mention of it in lectures. I did notice that there was less people on "campus" today but figured that most classes were already done for the semester so thought nothing of it.
I think this all means that it is time for me to come home. If only British Airways would let me.
In order to further understand the glories of Italy compared to the rest of the EU, here is a little video. Those that have been involved with Italy first-hand will be able to understand all of this. Welcome to my life.
Ah! How I love Italy.
