birds and bees and songs like these.

Ciao, my faithful readers! I hope all is well in the states. I heard parts of it were experiencing monsoon weather. Lucky you! Most days, it is a relaxing 90 degrees here. Molto caldo! (Very hot!)

A girl from California told me that she loves my accent. Apparently, how I say my a's is really sweet. I love being sweet. It was such a wonderful thing to hear. Sigh. It is like she already loves me. (But, really who doesn't?)

I went shopping with Therese (my San Diego friend) and a girl she is living with for a short time, Diana. Diana is from Poland and I just had the most fantastic time getting to know her. She also was kind enough to educate us on the European styles as well as which stores are good. What I gathered is that America needs to get their crap together and bring some amazing stores to my hood. That's right America, I said it!

Right now is the perfect time to go shopping because they have all there sales until the end of August. Instead of having constant sales throughout the year, they have two sales. One is December-January and the other is July-August. So once September hits everything is back to the regular price. (Bummer.)

I find some cute things on sale and decided that European fashion is much more stylish than American. (Sorry, America, but you'll win other battles.) The cuts are much more flattering and just plain fun. It isn't this ugly crap. (Okay, honestly, some of the European stuff is actually ugly.)

Some of the best shops are by the Duomo, which is one of the oldest churches in Europe. The detail that went into this church is just amazing. I took a picture of it as we walked past, but it simply doesn't really do it justice. Hopefully, I will have more to show you to give you a better feel for what I am mean.

There are tons of pigeons by the Duomo and a silly man grabbed my hand to try and get me to feed him. Now, if I wanted to feed the pigeons, I would have! But I repeated, "No, No, No" and scooted away with my hand intact. Mainly, I didn't want to look like this man:

(Notice the little boy in the corner. I think he is about to cry. Poor kid.)

If you can't already tell, I am not super amazing at taking photographs so bear with me. Mostly, I just forget to pull out the camera. Even though I was apparently stellar in high school, now I am complete rubbish. (Like how I throw in some English terms in there? A girl in my class has reminded me of their ways. I had forgotten how much they make me giggle!)

Right next to the Duomo there is a multi-story shopping mall called La Rinascente. I am talking like 7 floors of pure bliss. This place could destroy my bank account in no time. The first floor is entirely makeup and perfume, the next is bags, the next is womens or mens, and so forth. Can you imagine? Well, audience, I didn't have to cause I was there.

Don't hate me, but I went to McDonald's today. Instead of a Dollar Menu they have a Euro Menu. McDonald's is ripping Europe off. We caved only because we needed something fast and cheap. (We were on a mission!) Here, they have the nutrional facts on the box. So say I was eating a medium fry. It would straight up tell me how much fat I am putting in my mouth and on my hips. I wonder if this would have any impact on how Americans would think about their eating habits if they knew this information. Doubtful. A girl can dream, I suppose.

I have class tomorrow. Yeah, I know its a Saturday. But, hey, its not like it is at 9 am or anything. Oh, wait....it is. My life is sooo stressful. Sigh. Ciao!
